The Truck, Russ' Classic 65/66 Chevy Stepside
Here it is, my baby. It may not be much to look at, but a lot of hard work and love have gone in to it to get it to this point. Here's a short list stats and add-on's:
  1. Engine - 283 bored .030 over, headers, Edlebrock intake & Carb.
  2. Transmission - 700R4 properly rebuilt by JMS Transmissions w/lockup (Never buy a TCI transmission there is no reason I should've gone through 2!)
  3. Front disk brakes
  4. Front and rear sway bars.
  5. Limited slip rearend (3.73)
  6. Tilt & power steering.
  7. Paint - Rustolum (Red) Cheap & Crappy looking, but better than the old color that I referred to as "Calico".
There is still a LOT of work to do, but she runs good and is fun to drive. The truck is a 65 Custom (large rear window) orginally a wide bed, she was beat to hell when I got her. The bed, doors & front clip come from my 66 step that died years ago, which my dad bought new.
